What was discovered?
William's determination to help his family and friends by struggling to find information about how a windmill can convert wind energy into electricity... and his perseverence in scouring the local scrap yards for metal and other items to build the windmill of his dreams, show how the qualities of a great scientist - William is certainly that! - can bring wonders into many peoples' lives... and it need not cost the earth!
How was it discovered?
Thanks to the internet we are all able to read this heart-warming story!
Why is it important?
The benefits to the members of William's village are obvious... electricity allows water to be pumped to ward of thirst and water crops for food, as well as providing light and even power to recharge mobile phones!
